Anthony J. Kilker

SHENANOAH - An 18-year-old Shenandoah man charged with consuming alcohol and then resisting arrest on April l6 had charges against him held to court during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker.

Shane Lopez, 221 E. Centre St., Apt. 3, was arrested by Shenandoah police Patrolman Michael O'Neill and charged with purchase of alcohol by a minor, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Kilker determined the Commonwealth proved a prima facie case and ordered all three charges held for Schuylkill County Court.

O'Neill said officers were called to the area of North Market Street for a report of shots fired and discovered a large party in the area with yelling and loud music. When police went to the building several people including Lopez tried to flee and hide between two vehicles. While being taken into custody O'Neill said Lopez became combative, ignored commands to stop resisting and tried to free himself from custody.
