ASHLAND - A 44-year-old woman was arrested by borough police on Wednesday after two incidents.
Police were first called to the 700 block of Brock Street where Kathleen Marie Grosser, Ashland, allegedly tried to cause bodily injury to an employee of Schuylkill County Children & Youth Services.
Grosser, 722 Brock St., left before the arrival of police and a short time later, police were called to the area of South Hoffman Boulevard where it was reported that Grosser was walking in the middle of the state highway, impeding the flow of traffic, and was nearly struck by a truck. She again fled before police arrived but was taken into custody in the 500 block of Walnut Street.
During this incident, Grosser resisted arrest when police tried to handcuff her. She was charged in the first incident with a felony of aggravated assault and harassment. She was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale, Frackville, and released on her own recognizance on $10,000 unsecured bail.
Ashland police filed a second set of charges for the incident on Walnut Street, which included resisting arrest, obstructing highways and disorderly conduct.
Grosser will answer to all charges before Hale.
