faces charges
GIRARDVILLE - A borough man faces charges of harassment after an incident in the borough Monday.
State police at Frackville said Angel Luis Gonzalez-Soler, 29, of Girardville, will face charges of harassment after he allegedly grabbed his girlfriend, Nichole Marie Wiachek, 34, by the arm and punched her in the chest Monday.
Police were called to 206 E. Ogden St. Apt. 3 at 1:25 p.m. for a domestic dispute between the couple. Wiachek alleged that the argument became physical, police said.
Charges will be filed in the office of Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale, Frackville.

MAHANOY CITY - A Mahanoy City man arraigned and jailed on prior theft charges was charged by Mahanoy City police stemming from incidents Thursday at a home he has been ordered to stay out of.
William J. Sanchez, 26, who lists an address of 227 E. Centre St., was charged with violating a Protection From Abuse order after he was found about 9:15 p.m. inside the 227 E. Centre St. home.
Sanchez was found in an upstairs room of the home of Eric Neidlinger and, at the time he was taken into custody, had a small baggie containing synthetic marijuana and a brass smoking pipe.
Sanchez admitted he was staying in a bedroom at the home where officers also found, in plain sight, 11 empty packets of synthetic marijuana, seven blunt packets, aluminum foil smoking pipes and other items of drug paraphernalia.
Sanchez admitted that the items were his, police said.
In addition to the charge of violating the PFA order, police said Sanchez was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was committed to Schuylkill County Prison after being arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville.
Mahanoy woman
faces drug charge
MAHANOY CITY - Mahanoy City police charged a borough woman with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance after an incident about 7 p.m. May 18 at her 434 E. Mahanoy Ave. home.
Police said Christina A. Mooney, 40, will have to answer to the felony charge before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, Shenandoah.
Police said a confidential informant said they could purchase methamphetamine from Mooney at her home.
Officers met with the informant and provided pre-recorded money and followed the informant to Mooney's home, police said, adding that a short time later the informant exited and met officers handing over a baggie that contained a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Rush Twp. police
charge 5 people
HOMETOWN - Five people are facing charges by Rush Township police in connection with incidents at Wal-Mart.
On June 10, police said, Joseph Triano, 23, of Tamaqua, was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property after stealing items valued at $24, and Jacquelyn Taylor, 24, also of Tamaqua, was charged with retail theft after stealing items valued at $31.36.
Police also said Christopher L. Hill, 27, of New Ringgold, was charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy for stealing items valued at $159.76. Cal J. Rex Jr., 39, of Tamaqua, was charged with theft by deception, receiving stolen property and conspiracy after he and Rex returned the stolen items to the store and received a gift receipt valued at $169.35.
Finally, police said Casey A. Kreiger, 27, of Oneida, was charged with felony receiving stolen property and summary criminal trespass for a May 29 incident where items valued at $301.94 were stolen. Police said they have an active warrant out for Kreiger's arrest.
