A Berks County man went to Schuylkill County Prison on Tuesday after being sentenced for delivering drugs in April 2012 in Pottsville.

George J. Halley, 26, of Reading, must serve nine to 23 1/2 months in prison under the terms of Judge John E. Domalakes' sentence.

Domalakes also sentenced Halley to pay costs, $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and $113 restitution to the state police crime laboratory in Bethlehem.

Halley pleaded guilty on Jan. 30 to delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pottsville police had charged him with delivering drugs and possessing paraphernalia on April 27, 2012.

Also in the county court, Travis K. Harris, 42, of Schuylkill Haven, pleaded guilty Monday to driving under the influence, careless driving, driving without a license and stop sign violation. Prosecutors withdrew charges of accident involving damage to unattended vehicle or property, reckless driving and three additional counts of stop sign violation.

Judge Charles M. Miller accepted the plea and sentenced Harris to spend three to six months in prison and pay costs, $1,250 in fines, $300 to the Substance Abuse Education Fund, a $50 CJEA payment and $60 restitution to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.

Schuylkill Haven borough police alleged Harris was DUI on March 29, 2013, in the borough.
