Retail thief sought after failing to begin prison term

Schuylkill County District Attorney Karen Byrnes-Noon and Chief County Detective Dennis Clark are asking for the public's help in finding a Richlandtown woman who failed to fulfill her duties as ordered in county court.

Police said Shannon Baringer is wanted for failing to appear at Schuylkill County Prison on Oct. 18 to begin her prison sentence.

Police said Baringer is white, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds. Her last known address is Box 228, 32 S. Linda Court.

She pleaded guilty to charges of retail theft on Sept. 25 stemming from an incident that occurred on June 29, 2012.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Baringer or any other fugitive in Schuylkill County is asked to call the district attorney's office at 570-628-1350. Anyone who may see or come in contact with this woman is asked to call the Schuylkill County Communications Center or their local police department immediately. Callers are asked to refer to incident 12-08-13 when calling with information on the whereabouts of Baringer.
