of card theft
GRATZ — A theft and access device fraud involving a Gratz man that occurred between Oct. 30 and Sunday is being investigated by state police at Lykens.
Police said Kevin M. Marshall, 31, reported that someone used his debit card and purchased items without his permission.

WILLIAMSTOWN — State police at Lykens are investigating the theft from a motor vehicle that occurred in the 400 block of West Market Street in this Dauphin County community on Jan. 24.
Police said someone entered unlocked vehicles owned by a 41-year-old Williamstown man and a 60-year-old Williamstown man and took various items.

I-81 crash lands

PINE GROVE — A York man suffered major injuries in a crash Jan. 30 on Interstate 81, police said.
State police at Jonestown said Brian E. Ganoe, 31, was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima north at 9:19 a.m. and began to switch lanes on a right curve. Police said Ganoe undercompensated for the right curve in the road, traveled off the road and struck a tree.
Police said Ganoe was taken to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey for treatment.
The Pine Grove Fire Department and Fire Aid and Safety responded to the scene, police said, noting that the left lane of I-81 was partially shut down for 30 minutes due to the crash.

not hurt on I-81
FOSTER — Two men escaped injury Saturday morning in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 at mile marker 113 in Foster Township.
State police at Frackville said Norbert J. Dotzel, 78, of Mountain Top, was driving a 2007 Lincoln Towncar and lost control during high winds at 8:05 a.m. The car spun 80 degrees, crossed the passing lane and shoulder and went down an embankment, where the driver’s side struck a tree.
Neither Dotzel nor his passenger, John Badman, 72, of Syracuse, were injured. Both were wearing seat belts, police said.
Police cited Dotzel with a violation of failing to drive on roadways laned for traffic, and the car was towed from the scene.
