Wires cut
in Frackville
FRACKVILLE — Someone cut and pulled wire at a West Mahanoy Township business Sunday or Monday, police said.
Township police said someone forced their way into Dura Plastics, 600 S. Line St., and cut and pulled copper wire out of the electrical boxes and cut the phone wires. Police said damage to the electrical wiring is estimated at $7,950.

Police on lookout
for Ringtown man
HOMETOWN — A Ringtown man is facing charges by Rush Township police after an investigation into a chase that occurred about 1:25 a.m. April 22.
Police said Wednesday that Michael Jevelle, 27, will be charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police and numerous other violations after he fled from police in a Jeep Wrangler from Hometown into the woods behind the Barnesville Post Office.
Police said the man is also facing charges of simple assault and harrassment stemming from a domestic inident with his girlfriend on Grier Avenue.
Jevelle is also wanted by the Schuylkill County Adult Probation Office, police said, adding that anyone who may know the man’s whereabouts to call 911.

on warrants
FRACKVILLE — A traffic stop by Frackville police on Sunday resulted in a man and woman being taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
Police said officers stopped a vehicle driven by Brian Heffner, 1060 E. Market St., Floor 1, York, in the 200 block of North Lehigh Avenue and learned the man was wanted in Northumberland County.
It was also that a passenger in the car — Jeanne Willis, 615 E. Mahanoy Ave., Girardville — was wanted on a bench warrant from Schuylkill County.
Police said both were committed to Schuylkill County Prison on the warrants and Heffner will be charged with not driving on roadways laned for traffic and use of multiple beam lighting equipment.
