FRACKVILLE — An Ashland woman charged by Ashland police after two incidents on July 2 failed to appear for a preliminary hearing Wednesday morning.
Kathleen M. Grosser, 44, of 722 Brock St., was charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor harassment stemming from the first incident.
The second led to separate charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing highways.
The incidents began when officers were called to the 700 block of Brock Street, where Grosser allegedly tried to cause bodily injury to an employee of Schuylkill County Children and Youth Services.
However, the woman fled the area before officers arrived and she could not be found.
Police said that a short time later, police were called to the area of South Hoffman Boulevard, where Grosser was walking in the middle of a state highway impeding the flow of traffic. Police said she was almost struck by a vehicle.
The woman fled again before officers arrived but was taken into custody a short time later in the 500 block of Walnut Street, police said.
Police said Grosser resisted arrest when officers tried to place her in handcuffs.
Grosser was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville, and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
In Grosser’s absence for her hearings, Hale held over all charges against the woman to Schuylkill County Court and requested a warrant be issued for her arrest.
