TREMONT - At least two people were injured when the vehicle they were in hit a tree just after 5 p.m. Thursday on Route 125 in front of the Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center.
The Subaru Legacy Outback appeared to be traveling north on Route 125 when it crossed lanes and sheared a few trees before hitting another tree head-on.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said one of the passengers was flown to a local hospital while the other was taken by ambulance.
Witnesses at the scene said both passengers were conscious when emergency responders arrived. At least one person was ejected from the vehicle, witnesses said.
No further information was available at press time Tuesday.
