Temple
Brianne N. Hughes, a freshman business major at Temple University, Philadelphia, will be participating in the Disney College Program in Orlando, Fla., for the fall semester.
She also made the dean's list for the spring semester with a 4.0 GPA.
Brianne is a 2013 graduate of Nativity BVM High School and a daughter of Dave and Kathy Hughes, Schuylkill Haven.
Wilkes
Grace M. Lorence, Cumbola, an upcoming senior business finance major, was inducted in to the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society, the national honor society in business administration, at Wilkes University's Jay S. Sidhu School of Business.
Grace was named to the fall and spring semester dean's lists at Wilkes.
A 2011 graduate of Pottsville Area High School, she is a daughter of Paul and Clare Marie Lorence, Cumbola, and a granddaughter of Charles and Ann Zimmerman, Port Carbon, and Marion Lorence, Cumbola.
Bloomsburg
Jessica Demcher, a senior majoring in early childhood and special education, was recently inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society for Education, at Bloomsburg University. She was also named to the dean's list for the spring semester.
Jessica is a 2011 graduate of Minersville Area High School and a daughter of Gery and Chris Demcher, Forestville. She is a granddaughter of Peg Demcher, Forestville, Elmer and JoAnn Drumheller, Tremont, and great-granddaughter of Delphine Zernhelt, Tremont.
Meghan R. Hallick, Pottsville, a junior early childhood and special education major at Bloomsburg University, was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, an International Honor Society in Education.
She also made the dean's list for the spring semester with a 3.87 GPA.
