Pittston Area
Megan Dougherty, daughter of Rosemary and Patrick Dougherty, graduated from Pittston Area High School.
Ranked first in her class of 292 students, she carried a grade-point average of 4.387 and served as president of the school's Leo Club.
Megan plans to attend Boston University and pursue a degree in hospitality administration.
She is a granddaughter of Bernard Leo Dougherty, Tuscarora.
UNC-Greensboro
Megan Ann Kemmery, daughter of Rich and Kathy Kemmery, Frackville, graduated magna cum laude with a doctor of philosophy in specialized education from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
Megan has accepted a professorship at Franciscan University at Steubenville, Ohio.
Harvey Mudd
Margaret O'Keefe, Frackville, received a bachelor's degree in computer science May 18 from Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, California.
She is a graduate of North Schuylkill High School.

Lock Haven
Nicholas Malloy, Frackville, received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania during May 10 graduation ceremonies.
While at Lock Haven, Nicholas was a student presenter at the 2014 Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences 51st annual national meeting and at the 2014 Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Justice Education meeting.
A 2010 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, he is a son of David and Melissa Malloy, Frackville, and a grandson of Winifred Mohutsky, Shenandoah Heights.
Bucknell
Bucknell University, Lewisburg, conferred 859 bachelor's and 26 master's degrees during May 18 commencement ceremonies. Degrees were awarded for studies in liberal arts and professional programs in engineering, education, management and music.
Victoria Resh, Hamburg, graduated with a bachelor's degree in animal behavior. She is a daughter of Thomas and Monika Resh and a 2010 graduate of Hamburg Area High School.

Jordan Shiffer, Pine Grove, graduated from Morrisville State College, Morrisville, New York, in May with a degree in animal science-dairy.
West Chester
Elliot T. Beadle graduated summa cum laude from West Chester University with a 4.0 GPA. He earned his second bachelor's degree, this one in nutrition.
Upon completion of an internship, Elliot will be eligible to sit for the registered dietitian exam. He hopes to work with athletes with a concentration in sports nutrition.
He is a son of Patti Beadle and late Jack Beadle and a grandson of Pat Trabosh.

Tara Hoban graduated summa cum laude May 10 with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Kutztown University.
Tara achieved a 3.90 four-year cumulative GPA and was named to the dean's list for her eighth consecutive semester. She is attending graduate school at California University of Pennsylvania.
