MAHANOY CITY - A borough man was arrested by Mahanoy City police on drug charges after an incident about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at his 425 E. Mahanoy Ave. home.
Police said John M. Wronski III, 27, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Wronski, police said, provided 10 bags of heroin to another man and the bags were then sold to a confidential informant for $100.
Wronski will have to answer to the charges before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, Shenandoah, police said.
MAHANOY CITY - Mahanoy City police charged a borough man after an incident about 3:30 p.m. May 9 at Second and Centre streets.
Police said William J. Sanchez III, 26, of 227 E. Centre St., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while operating privileges are suspended or revoked.
Police said they stopped a vehicle driven by Sanchez knowing that he did not have a valid license and during the stop uncovered a small metal pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana or synthetic marijuana.
MAHANOY CITY - A borough man was arrested by Mahanoy City police and charged after an incident on May 6.
Police said Joshua J. Mooney, 26, of 129 E. Pine St., Apt. C, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said Mooney and another man were loitering by dumpsters near Cocoa Hut, 101 E. Centre St., and when officers arrived, Mooney went into the store.
After exiting the store, Mooney was confronted and officers found him with a silver metal pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana, a pack of blunt cigars, two clear empty baggies used for packing narcotics and two empty packets of synthetic cannabinoids.
FRACKVILLE - Shilene Gaillard, 25, of 1960 Ithan St., Philadelphia, faces attempted theft charges after she tried to purchase a carton of Newport Menthol 100s valued at $60.81 on Monday from Hess Express.
West Mahanoy Township police said when the clerk told Gaillard the credit card numbers on the register did not match the numbers on the card, she fled the store. Charges were filed with Magistrate Christina Hale, Frackville.
