FRACKVILLE - A 64-year-old Gordon man charged with pinning a man against another vehicle in the parking lot of Our Lads Beer Distributor on East Centre Street in Ashland on May 31 waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale.
William Metzinger, 135 E. Biddle St., Box 47, was arrested by Ashland police Chief Adam Bernodin Jr. and charged with two counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
By waiving is right to a hearing Metzinger will have to answer to all six offenses in Schuylkill County Court.
Bernodin said Metzinger confronted Charles Harris claiming a incident that occurred "a few years back" and then while backing out of the business, Metzinger used his car to pin Harris against his own vehicle.
Metzinger then tried to hit Harris again before leaving the area after Harris ran into the distributorship for assistance, Bernodin said.

SHENANDOAH - A 42-year-old Shenandoah man charged with a burglary in that community on Oct. 25 had charges against him held to court during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker.
Robert J. Whalen, 211 E. Centre St., was arrested by now Shenandoah police Chief George Carado and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
Kilker determined the commonwealth proved a prima facie case and ordered all four offenses against Whalen held for Schuylkill County Court.
Carado said Whalen was seen by Francis Wierzalis coming out of the side door of Jermyn's Bar at 301 W. Centre St. with copper and cast iron in his hands.
Whalen then motioned for Wierzalis to be quiet and loaded the items into a car and fled the area.
Carado said that speaking with the property owner it was learned the value of property stolen from inside the former tavern totaled $17,515.

PORT CARBON - A 30-year-old Lost Creek man charged with stealing more than $6,000 in items owned by Atlantic Track at 138 Industrial Park Road in East Norwegian Township between April 13 and May 6 waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko.
Ryan C. Margerum, 488 Mount Olive Blvd., was arrested by state police Trooper Jordan R. Tuttle of the Schuylkill Haven station and charged with two counts of theft by unlawful taking and three counts of receiving stolen property, all felony offenses.
By waiving his right to a hearing Margerum will have to answer to all five charges in Schuylkill County Court.
Tuttle charged Margerum with going to the business on May 6 and stealing a pallet containing 250 aluminum rails, 22-inches long each, with a total value of $6,500.
Margerum was also charged with going to the same business prior, on April 13, and stealing another pallet of similar items valued at about $2,500.
When interviewed, Tuttle said Margerum admitted to stealing the aluminum and, while employed by Atlantic Track, used a company forklift to place the aluminum on a company truck and then drove it to a recycling business where he sold it.
