PORT CARBON - An Ashland man charged with using another man's credit/debit card without permission between Oct. 7 and 10 had charges against him held to court during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko.
Jason J. Pryce, 29, of 325 Germanville Road, was arrested by Saint Clair Patrolman Chad H. Seitzinger and charged with one misdemeanor count each of access device issued to another person and receiving stolen property.
Plachko determined the Commonwealth proved a prima facie case and ordered both charges held for Schuylkill County Court.
Seitzinger charged Pryce with using the card issued to Joseph Payne without his permission to make purchases totaling $437.94. Seitzinger said Payne's wife, Andrea, told police she drove Pryce to Wal-Mart on the first day the card was used without permission and that he is a distant cousin of her husband.
Andrea Payne said that Pryce was in their vehicle that day but she was not aware that he was in possession of the credit/debit card.
