State police said Monday very little updated information is available about the death of a Pine Grove woman whose body was found over the weekend in Bethel Township, Berks County.
The body of Alishia M. Eller, 24, of 238 Route 443, was found Saturday morning at an excavation storage site located north of Interstate 78, between Musselman and Beagle roads.
Trooper Roy Eiler, the investigating officer, said the woman's death is being considered "suspicious."
Trooper David C. Boehm, public information officer for Troop L, Reading, said an autopsy conducted Sunday at Reading Hospital has yet to determine a cause and manner of death. Officials are waiting on the results of toxicology tests taken during the autopsy to make a final decision, he said.
Troopers believe Eller died sometime between 7 p.m. Friday and 6:20 a.m. Saturday, the day her body was discovered.
No vehicle was found in the area and Boehm said investigators are still trying to determine how Eller's body arrived at the site.
"That is one of the things we're investigating," Boehm said. "Right now, we're still tracking down leads and interviewing witnesses."
Eller was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:39 a.m. by Berks County Deputy Coroner Ken Moyer, according to a deputy at the Berks County Coroner's Office.
Boehm and Eiler said troopers are asking for help from any of Eller's friends or family in piecing together the events that led to her death.
Moreover, Boehm said any member of the public who may know something, no matter how minimal they think that information is, is asked to contact state police at Hamburg.
Both troopers ask anyone with information regarding Eller's whereabouts Friday night and Saturday morning to call the Hamburg station at 484-660-1011, Eiler said.
All information received will remain confidential.
