Rebecca Margerum

ELIZABETHVILLE - Defendants from Schuylkill County and the surrounding area whose cases Dauphin County Magisterial District Judge Rebecca Margerum considered, the charges against each one and the judge's disposition on the matters included:

Bronson C. Wiest, 18, of 125 E. Maple St., Hegins - withdrawn: purchase of alcohol by a minor. Waived for court: DUI, DUI-minor, failure to keep right, careless driving and minors prohibited from operating a vehicle with alcohol in their system.

Douglas Lee Johnson Sr., 52, of 539 E. Grand Ave., Apt. 2, Tower City - waived for court: DUI, DUI-highest rate and no headlights.

Terry M. Stehley, 36, of 670 E. Market St., Williamstown - held for court: DUI, DUI-highest rate, disregard for single traffic lane, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and failure to notify police of an accident.

Nathan J. Peifer, 22, of 417 S. Spruce St., Lykens - waived for court: possession of drug paraphernalia and corruption of minors.

Andrew P. Savage, 24, of 6241 Route 209, Lykens - waived for court: DUI, DUI-highest rate, driving with an alcohol level of 0.02 percent or greater while under license suspension and driving an unregistered vehicle.

David A. Plachko

PORT CARBON - A 37-year-old man arrested by Minersville police and charged with selling methamphetamine to an undercover on March 5 waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko.

Michael R. Bramley, who has no fixed address, was arrested by Patrolman Jeffrey Bowers and charged with one count of felony possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

By waiving his right to a hearing, Bramley will have to answer to both charges in Schuylkill County Court.

Bowers charged Bramley with meeting with undercover officers about 8:50 p.m. to the rear of 136 S. Third St. and selling the drug to them for $100.

The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine, Bowers said, adding that the transaction occurred within 250 feet of the Minersville Youth Center subjecting Bramley to School Zone sentencing enhancements.

Other court cases included:

Giacoma Salera, 47, of Box 292 Ann St., Pottsville - withdrawn: access device issued to another person and theft by unlawful taking.

Brandon S. Moyer, 25, of 1200 Chestnut St., Pottsville - dismissed: receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking.

Renee Gibas, 41, of 4 Wiggan St., New Philadelphia - waived for court: retail theft.

Christopher Lee Collins, 24, of 2 Sunbury St., Apt. 4C, Minersville - waived for court: possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy.

Jamie D. McCabe, 35, of 808 N. Third St., Pottsville - withdrawn: conspiracy-receiving stolen property, retail theft and receiving stolen property. Waived for court: conspiracy-retail theft.

William A. Wallace, 23, of 224 N. Second St., Pottsville - dismissed: theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Braxton J. Moore, 30, of 135C Coal St., Box 4, Cumbola - dismissed: terroristic threats and harassment.

Stephen J. Bayer

TAMAQUA - A 53-year-old Tamaqua man charged with assaulting his wife at their home in the borough on April 3 had charges against him withdrawn during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Stephen J. Bayer.

Clarence E. McGeehan, 302 Mahanoy St., was arrested by Tamaqua police Patrolman Karl Harig and charged with one count each of simple assault and harassment.

Harig charged McGeehan with becoming involved in a fight with Nancy McGeehan during which he punched the woman in the face, causing swelling and redness to her right eye.

When interviewed, Harig said Clarence McGeehan said the two were fighting over bills and his wife called him names. The man denied punching his wife in the eye but did say that he pushed her into a wall, Harig said.

Other court cases included:

Bruce Jones, 38, of 304 Market St., Tamaqua - dismissed: harassment.

Shawn R. Pettis, 47, of 26 E. Foster St., Coaldale - waived for court; DUI, fleeing or attempting to elude police, careless driving, disregard for single traffic lane and DUI-highest rate.

Cody R. Tatro, 19, of 833 N. Locust St., Hazleton - waived for court: possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, DUI-controlled substance, making repairs to or selling offensive weapons and improper sun screening.

Todd M. Miller, 19, of 410 Third St., Weatherly - waived for court: DUI-controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and disregard for single traffic lane.

Alexis Acosta, 18, of Rear 225 W. Blaine St., McAdoo - waived for court: possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
