A Pottsville man charged with pointing a gun at and trying to kill a woman at his home on Nov. 27 is among those scheduled to plead not guilty today during arraignment in Schuylkill County Court.
Kevin L. Harris, 29, of 810 W. Race St. was arrested by Pottsville police Patrolman Joseph Welsh and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, illegal possession or use of a firearm, terroristic threats, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Welsh charged Harris with being involved in an argument with Yvette A. Brown, during which he pulled out a pistol from his waistband, pointed it at her face and yelled that he should "blow your brains out."
Brown was able to run into a bedroom to call police, but Harris continued after her, trying to kick in the bedroom door.
