2-vehicle crash
SAINT CLAIR - Borough police investigated a crash that occurred about 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Route 61 north and West Russell Street.
Police said a truck being driven by Matthew J. Witherow and owned by Axiom Inc., Schuylkill Haven, was traveling north on Route 61 when it struck the back of a vehicle being driven by Dawn M. Collins, Pottsville.
The impact caused Collins' vehicle to spin and exit Route 61, coming to a stop on West Russell Street, police said.
Collins was taken to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street for injuries by Saint Clair EMS while her passenger, Jeremy A. Dean, was not hurt.
Witherow will be cited as a result of the crash.

escape injury
SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS - A Shenandoah woman and her daughter escaped injury after the car the woman was driving struck a utility police and rolled onto its roof Friday in West Mahanoy township, police said.
Township police said Justine Davis, 22, of Shenandoah, was driving west at 6:45 p.m. on Pennsylvania Avenue when her vehicle left the road, traveled about 40 feet and struck a utility pole, causing it to roll onto its roof.
Police said Davis and her 3-year-old daughter, who was in a safety seat, were not hurt. However, Davis will be cited for failure to drive on roadways laned for traffic, police said.
Shenandoah police, Heights Fire Company and Shenandoah EMS assisted at the scene, police said.
