Police investigate

theft from garage

SHOEMAKERSVILLE - State police at Hamburg are investigating the theft of a bicycle from a garage that occurred between 3 p.m. Nov. 30 and 11 a.m. Saturday at 438 Main St., Shoemakersville.

Police said someone entered an unlocked garage behind the residence and stole a bicycle belonging to Alexander Wolf.

Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact state police at Hamburg at 610-562-6885.

Police probe

clothing theft

POTTSVILLE - State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of various clothing items that occurred at 6:58 p.m. Friday from Boscov's at the Fairlane Village mall, Norwegian Township.

Police said a woman concealed the clothing while in the store and left the store in a white car parked in front of the store.

Cincinnati man

not hurt in crash

MINERSVILLE - A Cincinnati man escaped injury after her vehicle rolled onto its roof at 10:53 p.m. Friday on Interstate 81 in Foster Township.

State police at Frackville said Pohung Chiu, 28, was driving a 2005 Acura TSX north on Interstate 81 and attempted to pass a 2014 Mack Tractor driven by Craig D. Wagner, 65, of Jonestown.

Police said Chui lost control of his vehicle when the truck tires threw slush onto the windshield of the Acura. The Acura sideswiped the truck, struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof before coming to rest along the west berm, police said.

Chui was cited for speeding, police said.

2 escape injury

in 1-vehicle crash

MCADOO - A woman and a man from Providence, R.I., escaped injury after the vehicle they were in struck a guiderail at 10:26 p.m. Friday on Route 81 in Kline Township.

State police at Frackville said Denise R. Montoya, 50, was driving a 2013 Hyundai Elantra north on Interstate 81 and lost control of the vehicle while following a right curve on snow-covered roadway and struck a guiderail. Alex Montoya, 16, was a passenger in the vehicle, police said.

Denise Montoya was cited for driving too fast in the weather conditions.
