Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers and Pottsville police are asking for the public's help in finding those responsible for two burglaries that occurred earlier this month at a school and church activity center.
Police said the first burglary occurred between 10:45 a.m. Nov. 17 and the time it was discovered about 7 a.m. Nov. 18 at Assumption BVM School, 112 S. Seventh St.
Police said someone broke into the building, ransacked numerous classrooms and stole 18 Apple iPad Mini tablet computers from a secured area before fleeing.
The second burglary occurred between Nov. 14 and 18 when someone broke into St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church activity building in the 300 block of Mahantongo Street.
Police said the would-be robbers tried to remove a large screen television but were unsuccessful and nothing else appeared to have been stolen.
Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to those responsible for these crimes or on any other unsolved crime in Schuylkill County.
Callers are asked to refer to incident 12-01-13 when calling with information about the burglaries in Pottsville.
